Students in CCSC Create Academic Success Again

2018 年4月14日下午14:00-15:00，澳大利亚信息数学竞赛 (CAT)在中国大陆地区首次举行。此次比赛共有来自全国220所国际学校和重点中小学的近2900名学生参赛。

The Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) was first held in China at 14:00-15:00 on 14th Apr, 2018. The competition was attended by nearly 2,900 students from 220 international schools and primary and secondary schools nationwide.

本次比赛我校共有12位同学获奖。

潘毓川获得本次竞赛的二等奖，

陈美如、杜天宸、胡越、章敬乐、李希璇、朱杨仡、朴钟吾、张博文、陈璐薇、陈艺菲、王雅琪荣获三等奖。

There are 12 students in our school who won the prize: Pan Yuchuan won the Second Prize; Chen Meiru, Du Tianchen, Zhu Yangyi, Hu Yue，Zhang Jingle, Li Xixuan, Piao Zhongwu, Zhang Bowen, Chen Luwei, Chen Yifei, and Wang Yaqi won the Third Prize.

澳大利亚信息数学竞赛（简称CAT竞赛）由澳大利亚数学联合会主办，比赛旨在发掘学生的计算机编程潜力，专注于培养学生的逻辑思维，侧重于培养学生的计算能力和算法思维。

CAT is hosted by the Australian Mathematics Federation. The competition aims at discovering students ' computer programming potential, and focuses on developing students ' logical thinking and training students ' computational ability and algorithmic thinking.

CAT按照A、B、C、D四个难度等级设置了不同奖项。考试共计9 道题， 1-6 题为单选题，每题 3 分； 7-9 题为填空题，每道题含有 3 道小题，每道小题需要学生通过计算提交一个0-999 的整数答案，每小题两分，满分为36分。

CAT sets different awards according to A, B, C, D four difficulty levels. It has nine questions in total. Question 1 to 6 are multiple-choice questions; Question 7 to 9 are blank fillings. The full mark is 36.

此次比赛给予学生们的收获不仅是参赛经验，更是数学思维的启发和未来编程发展的可能性。澳大利亚数学信息竞赛的赛题让参赛学生们体验到数学原来还可以如此的有趣，在趣味中不仅运用了基础运算能力，也开发了创造思维能力。以编程为导向的题型也发掘了学生的编程思维，为未来编程事业的发展挖掘了人才。

竞赛给予学生的不应该是挫败和困难，而应是自信、希望、创造视野和发现。我校将在后期继续引进更多有益有趣的国际性竞赛，拓展学生们的思维和视野。我们也相信中加学子会在接下来的一系列的学术竞赛中取得更加优异的成绩。

This competition is not only about the experience of the participating, but also the inspiration of mathematical thinking and the possibility of future programming development. Our school will continue to introduce more interesting international competitions to broaden students ' thinking and vision.
