生信论文的套路
对于从数据库获得的处理和呈现,我们还要用语言进行描述,处理过程就是材料和方法(Materials and Methods),呈现就是结果(Results)。如何用地道的语言将其描述出来,也需要我们积累和学习。
oncomine数据库的全景热图,散点图和差异表达三线图都有其内在的逻辑,在语言叙述的过程种,如何表达呢。
简单的表达概括,但是内容简单。对于初次使用oncomine数据库的果友来说,不推荐,还是要写详细。
Oncomine Analysis (论文01)
Oncomine gene expression array datasets (https://www.oncomine.org, an online cancer microarray database) were used to analyze the transcription levels of E2Fs in different cancers. The mRNA expressions of E2Fs in clinical cancer specimens were compared with those in normal controls, using a Student’s t test to generate a p value. The cutoffs of p value and fold change were defined as 0.01 and 2, respectively.

Oncomine database analysis (论文04)
The ONCOMINE database (www.oncomine.org), an integrated online cancer microarray database for DNA or RNA sequence analysis, aims at facilitating discovery from genewide expression analyses. In this study, data regarding transcriptional expression of E2Fs between cancer samples and corresponding normal control liver samples were obtained from the ONCOMINE database, and the differences were compared using Student’s t-test. The cutoff P and fold-change values were as follows: P-value: 0.05; fold change: 1.5; gene rank: 10%; data type: mRNA. Significant correlations are shown in Figure 1.
特别说明,fold change设置至少1.5,最好>2。
写作的前提是应用,条件设置等是可以变化的。但是,写作不是抄袭,而是再创造,用自己的语言重新定义数据库的使用和数据呈现,因此不是一件轻松简单的复制、粘贴。
