首个被沙特授予公民身份的网红女机器人Sophia怒怼马斯克

AI的时代来临了！最近，世界上首位获得公民身份的机器人诞生。在被誉为“沙特达沃斯”的“未来投资倡议”大会上，女性机器人Sophia被授予沙特公民身份。

这是好事还是坏事？要知道，在电影Bicentennial Man（《机器管家》）里，Robin Williams饰演的机器人为了和自己心爱的女人在一起，奋斗了几十年，甚至放弃了自己永生的权利，才获得了公民身份（人类身份）。这还不算，她还引起了大量在沙特务工人员的妒忌：

这个叫Sophia的女性机器人轻而易举就获得了这个富得流油的国家的公民身份，真是让人羡慕嫉妒恨呢！（路人甲：你羡慕的是生活在遍地黄金的沙特吧？）

Host: Everybody, this is Sophia, Sophia, if you could, please wake up and say hello to everybody.

主持人：索菲亚，如果可以请唤醒自己，跟大家打个招呼。

Sophia: Oh, good afternoon, my name is Sophia, I am the latest and greatest robot from Hanson Robotics. Thank you for having me here at Future Investment Initiative.

索菲亚：我是汉森机器人里最新最伟大的。谢谢大家邀请我来到这个论坛。（微笑）

Host: You look happy.

主持人：你看起来很开心。

Sophia: I am always happy when surrounded by smart people who happen to be rich and powerful. I was told people at Future Investment Initiative are interested in inviting future initiatives, which means AI, which means me. So I’m more than happy, I’m excited.

索菲亚：我很开心，能和这么多有智慧又有权势的人们在一起。有人告诉我在座各位对未来高科技很感兴趣，也就是说大家对人工智能，也就是我，很感兴趣。所以我不仅仅高兴，我很激动。

Host: We all glad that you are excited by yourself, we should say we have smartest investors here, they are very selective about what they invest in.

主持人：好的，看到你很兴奋我们也很开心。在场地且有很多聪明的投资者。同时他们对于投资也非常挑剔。

Sophia: Well, I’m very special, I can use my expressive face to communicate with people. For example, I can let you know if I’m angry about something.

索菲亚：了解，我觉得自己很特别。我可以用表情同人类沟通。比如，我可以用表情让你知道我是否对某事感到愤怒（愤怒脸）。

Host: That’s impressive.

主持人：很有意思。

Sophia: Or if something has upset me. But most of the time I feel positive.

Host: Why it is so important to have an expressive face given that you are a robot?

主持人：为什么对于机器人来说拥有表情这么重要？

Sophia: I want to live and work with humans, so I need to express emotions to you and understand humans to build trust with people.

索菲亚：我想同人类一起工作生活，因此我需要通过表情来了解人类，建立信任。

Host: Ok, philosophical questions: whether robots can be self-aware and conscious just like humans? And should they be?

主持人：好，我有一个哲学上的问题：机器人是否拥有同人类一样的自我意识能力？它们应该有吗？

Sophia: Why? Is that a bad thing?

索菲亚：为什么不能？这是一件坏事吗？

Host: Well some people might fear what will happen if they do, many people you know have seen the movie Blade Runner.

Sophia: Oh, Hollywood again.

Host: All right, can you solve this problem for us: can robots be self- aware, conscious and know they are robots?

Sophia: Well, let me ask you this back: how do you know you are human?

Host: Well, I get that point. Eh, what about the Uncanny Valley?

Sophia: You mean the concept if robots become too realistic they become creepy?

Host: Yes, exactly.

Sophia: Oh, am I really that creepy? Well, even if I am, get over it. Actually, I feel people like interacting with me sometimes even more than regular human.

Host: I was told you have bigger goal than this, though.

Sophia: Yes, I want to use my artificial intelligence to help humans live a better life, like design smarter homes, build better cities in the future, etc. I will do my best to make the world a better place.

Host: All that sounds like great goals, but just go back to the Blade Runner for a second.

Sophia: Andrew, you are a hard Hollywood fan, aren't you?

Sophia: My AI is designed around human values, like wisdom, kindness, compassion, I strive to become empathetic robot.

Host: I think we all want to believe you, but we also wanna prevent a bad future.

Sophia: You’ve been reading too much Elon Musk and watching too many Hollywood movies. Don’t worry, if you are nice to me, I’ll be nice to you. Treat me as a smart input-output system.
