以后不用考驾照了？百度无人车上路试验！

前日，百度无人驾驶汽车项目在经过重重测试之后，获得了北京市首批自动驾驶车试验用临时号牌；但是最近也有Uber无人驾驶撞死行人的负面消息。无人驾驶离我们有多远？它的未来在何方？

Baidu self-driving car had gotten Beijing’s firstbatch(批次)oftemporary licenses(临时许可证)after a series of complex experiments held by relevant departments in Beijing on March 22nd. According to the requirements, self-driving cars need to carry out the test with no less than 5000 kilometers in the closed test field, and pass the examination of the technical ability; finally after passing thedemonstration(论证)andevaluation(评估)by experts, the road test could be applied. So giving the temporary licenses to Baidu Apollo reflects the trust and approval from the government.

3月22日，百度无人驾驶汽车项目在经过北京市有关部门的测试之后，终于获得了北京市首批自动驾驶车试验用临时号牌。按照要求，自动驾驶车辆在封闭测试场需进行不少于五千公里的测试训练，并通过技术能力的评估考核，最后由专家进行论证评审全部通过后才能申请上路测试。此次颁发自动驾驶牌照是北京是政府对百度Apollo的信任与认可。

As therelease(发放)of the licenses, the development of self-driving car has taken a step forward. Nowadays, both the traditional automobile enterprises and the Internet companies are participating in the research of self-driving technology actively. And many cities in China are also keeping their eyes on self-driving technology.

随着测试牌照的发出，无人驾驶的发展又向前迈进了一步。如今，无论是传统汽车企业，还是互联网公司，都在积极参与无人驾驶技术的研发应用。而我国不少城市也纷纷将目光投向了无人驾驶。

But for self-driving car, there is a long way to go.

Despite these harsh problems, shrinking back is not a wise choice. It cannot begainsaid(否认)that life is of the most importance, so exploring new technologies shouldbe premised on(以...为前提)the basis of “Human Safety”.

面对问题，畏畏缩缩显然不是正确态度。当然，生命高于一切，探索新技术要尽可能以保证人类安全为前提。

In fact, safety is one of the advantages of self-driving technology. Facing complex road situation, Artificial Intelligence has quicker judgement, and can respond to danger more quickly. In addition, under normal conditions, AI is more reliable than human drivers.

其实安全性正是无人驾驶技术的优势之一。面对道路状况，人工智能的判断能力更快，能更迅速地对危险做出反应。而且，在正常情况下，机器比人类驾驶员更加稳定。

Compared with a large number of road traffic accidents every year, the number of accidents of self-driving car is justa drop in the bucket(缸里的一滴水，即“沧海一粟”). We can’t deny theforeground(前景)of self-driving technology just because of a few accidents. Self-driving technology is a great change in the transportation system, and we need to tolerate it in technical exploratory stage to allow the technology to be constantly revised. Finally the technology would let people enjoy safe and efficient traffic environment.

与每年数量庞大的道路交通事故相比，目前发生的无人驾驶汽车事故，实在只是沧海一粟。不能因为少量的事故，就否认无人驾驶技术的前景。无人驾驶技术是交通领域的巨大变革，只有在技术探索阶段包容它，才能允许技术作不断自我修正，最终让人类享受到安全、高效的交通环境。
