1、Bruce Lee’s Never-Before-Seen Writings on Willpower, Emotion, Reason, Memory, Imagination, and Confidence – The Marginalian[1]

感觉是一篇用词非常优雅的文章。里面也记录了李小龙关于意志、情感、记忆、想象力的随笔和思考,这里我也摘录并尝试翻译:

  • 意志 WILL POWER

我认为意志力是我大脑中最重要的部分。为了随时应对任何突发,我会每天训练它,将这种训练变成我的一种习惯,并至少每天一次的在实践中运用我的意志。

Recognizing that the power of will is the supreme court over all other departments of my mind, I will exercise it daily, when I need the urge to action for any purpose; and I will form HABIT designed to bring the power of my will into action at least once daily.

ps:这里的bring the power of my will into action,对应exercise 和action,二者有什么区别呢?

  • 情感 EMOTION

人的情感都有积极和消极的两个部分。我会养成鼓励积极情绪发展的日常习惯,以帮助我将消极情绪转化为有用的行动。

Realizing that my emotions are both POSITIVE and negative I will form daily HABITS which will encourage the development of the POSITIVE EMOTIONS, and aid me in converting the negative emotions into some form of useful action.

  • 理智 REASON

我认识到,无论是积极情绪还是消极情绪,如果不加以控制并引导它们达到理想的状态,都可能是危险的。因此,我将把我所有的欲望与目标都交给我的理智,并在理智的指引下表达它们。

Recognizing that both my positive & negative emotions may be dangerous if they are not controlled and guided to desirable ends, I will submit all my desires, aims and purposes to my faculties of reason, and I will be guided by it in giving expression to these.

  • 想象 IMAGINATION

实现自己的愿望,需要合理的计划和想法,我要培养自己的想象力,每天训练它,以帮助我构思计划。

Recognizing the need for sound PLANS and IDEAS for the attainment of my desires, I will develop my imagination by calling upon it daily for help in the formation of my plans.

  • 记忆 MEMORY

即时记忆是非常重要的,我希望让自己变得警觉,能够对所有我希望回忆的想法印象深刻,并将这些想法与其相关的,我经常会思考的主题联系起来。

Recognizing the value of an alert memory, I will encourage mine to become alert by taking care to impress it clearly with all thoughts I wish to recall, and by associating those thoughts with related subjects which I may call to mind frequently.

  • 潜意识 SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

认识到潜意识对我意志的影响,我将谨慎地向潜意识传输明确的生活目标,以及所有形成主要目标的小目标,我应当在潜意识形成前,反复形成这些画面。

Recognizing the influence of my subconscious mind over my power of will, I shall take care to submit to it a clear and definite picture of my CLEAR PURPOSE in life and all minor purposes leading to my major purpose, and I shall keep this picture CONSTANTLY BEFORE my subconscious mind by REPEATING IT DAILY.

ps:这也太自律了。

  • 良心 CONSCIENCE

认识到我的情绪常常因过度热情而犯错误,而我的理性能力,往往缺乏那些让我在判断时,将正义与仁慈结合起来所必需的感情。我将鼓励我的良心引导我判断孰是孰非,但我永远不会推翻它所做出的判断,无论执行这些的代价是什么。

Recognizing that my emotions often err in their over-enthusiasm, and my faculty of reason often is without the warmth of feeling that is necessary to enable me to combine justice with mercy in my judgments, I will encourage my conscience to guide me as to what is right & what is wrong, but I will never set aside the verdicts it renders, no matter what may be the cost of carrying them out.

ps:没有什么事情是绝对的对与错,做到问心无愧,毅然决然地做下去就好了。

I know that I have the ability to ACHIEVE the object of my DEFINITE PURPOSE in life; therefore I DEMAND of myself persistent, continuous action toward its attainment, and I here and now promise to render such action. I realize the DOMINATING THOUGHTS of my mind will eventually reproduce themselves in outward, physical action, and gradually transform themselves into physical reality; therefore I will CONCENTRATE my thoughts for 30 min. daily upon the task of thinking of the person I intend to become, thereby creating in my mind a clear MENTAL PICTURE. I know through the principle of autosuggestion, any desire that I PERSISTENTLY hold will eventually seek expression through some practical means of attaining the object back of it; therefore, I will devote 10 min. daily to DEMANDING of myself the development of SELF-CONFIDENCE. I have clearly written down a description of my DEFINITE CHIEF AIM in life, and I will never stop trying until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for its attainment.

3、关于肿瘤外显子实验设计的问题

分析肿瘤外显子数据时有个疑惑,希望有大佬能指点一下 用外显子测序检测肿瘤体细胞突变,一般选择癌与癌旁配对,也有选择癌与外周血配对,两者有什么区别,哪个更推荐呢?这个问题我请教过几位朋友,大家都说首选癌与癌旁配对,我查TCGA的样本信息也基本是癌与癌旁正常组织配对,但是没有人给我说清楚为什么优先选择癌旁作为阴性对照。

这个问题首先是一位临床医生朋友提出来的:他取到的癌旁组织通常不是正常组织,而是癌变前的病变组织,按说血液外显子数据可以提供更纯净的阴性背景。

答:以前讲座的一个老师说过的两个原因:癌旁和肿瘤更相似,如果这两者都有差异,那么和正常应该也有差异;但是正常和肿瘤的差异不一定是导致肿瘤的原因,可能是正常细胞一些个体性突变
